XGRIDS has released LCC Studio V2.4.0, which exports USD files with geospatial coordinates and 3D Tiles that load in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

LCC Studio has written USD since V1.13.1 and 3D Tiles since V2.0.0, when the .lcc2 container arrived with an SPZ v2 option that Cesium 1.35 and later reads directly. V2.4.0 adds geospatial coordinates to the USD export and names ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online as hosts for its 3D Tiles and 3TZ output, 3TZ being the single file archive form of 3D Tiles. XGRIDS does not say whether the converting path runs through the Converter that arrived in V2.3.0.

A gaussian splat reconstructed can now load into an ArcGIS Pro project or an ArcGIS Online scene next to the point cloud and mesh layers a survey team already keeps there. The remaining Studio changes are a fix for Spatial Recognition failing in some edge cases and unnamed known issue fixes. XGRIDS dates every archived release on its download page and leaves the current one undated.

LCC Model Editor V1.3.0 adds editing of data that carries spherical harmonics. Spherical harmonic coefficients store the view dependent color of each gaussian, and a file keeping the full degree three set holds 48 color values per primitive against three for a base color alone. The Align tool, which took three surface points as a reference plane when it arrived in V1.2.0, now accepts a custom grid plane and can set the center of the selected plane as the world origin. The build also adds a User Experience Improvement Program.

LCC Scene Editor V2.4.0 adds French and Russian interfaces and moves the Asset Management Panel to the right side of the workspace. The 3D Layout tools gain a switch between single line and double line 2D wall display, consistent display rules for intersecting walls and door and window openings, and DXF export with Exterior Wall Dimensions and Interior Wall Dimensions selectable independently. Portal labels can now stay visible and follow a portal as it moves or is shown and hidden, and clear once the portal is hidden or deleted.

Simultaneously, XGRIDS also launched the World Backup Project, to help preserve moments in time across the planet. Up for grabs are three PortalCams and acceptance into XGRIDS Signed Creator Program. However, there is no word yet what the creator program entails.

LCC Studio V2.4.0 is a 6.0 GB iso, Scene Editor V2.4.0 a 1.3 GB installer, and Model Editor V1.3.0 an 89.2 MB installer. All three are available now from the XGRIDS download page.
