
XGRIDS has released LCC-Web-SDK v0.6.3, which adds WebXR support to its browser renderer for LCC and LCC2 gaussian splat scenes.
The kit shipped with Three.js and Cesium rendering, ray casting, spherical harmonic toggling and environment data streams when XGRIDS open sourced the LCC format in November 2025, and every release since has extended that surface inside a flat browser viewport. WebXR is the sixth and last item in the v0.6.3 notes.
XGRIDS improved raycasting accuracy, optimized mobile performance and local caching, optimized the Cesium transformation APIs for translation, rotation and scale, and optimized collision detection. The README feature list now ends on WebXR, alongside box and plane clipping, a point cloud mode toggle, global alpha adjustment, mesh ray detection and support for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
LCC-Web-SDK v0.6.3 carries the headset into scenes XGRIDS describes as real world captures running to billions of Gaussians, held down by LCC2 compression. A survey or facilities team that publishes a city block behind a token verified meta.lcc link can serve the same URL to a headset and to the desktop viewer, without an engine plugin or a native build. XGRIDS does not state in the v0.6.3 notes which headsets or WebXR session modes the SDK supports, and no XR rendering figures accompany the release.
The SDK added LCC2 loading in v0.6.0, three releases before this one, and XGRIDS shipped the format itself in Lixel CyberColor Studio v1.12.0 in June. The v0.6.2 release separated the Cesium and Three.js builds into independent packages, and fixed occasional LCC2 data corruption in Cesium along with rendering on Lisuan GPUs. The v0.6.1 release added a setSmooth API, and v0.5.5 added semantic rendering.
