XGRIDS has released LCC Unreal SDK v3.3.1, which adds SPZ v2 loading for scenes exported from World Labs' Marble.

SPZ arrived in the Unreal plugin four weeks earlier in v3.0.0, compatible with the v3 and v4 revisions of Niantic's compressed splat container. The v3.3.1 notes list SPZ v2 as an addition and attribute the files to exports from Marble, World Labs' generative world model. A Marble world exported as SPZ can now be dropped into an Unreal project without a conversion step.

LCC Unreal SDK v3.3.1 also adds NavMesh support, so Unreal's AI pathfinding can run against a loaded gaussian splatting scene, and raises the default collision loading distance to 300 meters. Collision debug visualization rendering was also optimized.

On rendering, the release adds GPU driven indirect draw, a SingleLayerWater support option at Project Settings, Plugins, LCC4Unreal, SingleLayerWater Support, ShowCollision and ShowFPS buttons on the Actor panel, and Animation Reverse playback. Support for larger SOG, SPZ and PLY models was expanded, and XGRIDS describes the SPZ, SOG and PLY rendering path as significantly improved during free roam navigation.

The engine's GeoReferencing module is replaced by a built in PROJ library, removing an external module dependency, and SOG, SPZ and PLY actors now auto rotate along the X axis to align with external gaussian splatting coordinate conventions.

The editor gains a Focus Root Component that frames the viewport camera on the current selection when F is pressed, and localization in Chinese, English, German, French, Japanese and Korean. Fixes cover sphere clip bounds rotation not applying to distance calculations, GPU sort parameter conflicts now handled with a dedicated staging buffer, performance degradation from video memory exhaustion, animation playback not applying at runtime, and height based vertex coloring for SOG, SPZ and PLY actor point clouds.

The XGRIDS developer portal serves v3.3.1 on its UE 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8 tabs, and the UE 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 tabs remain at v0.9.0.

It is available now from the XGRIDS developer portal.
